Madsar City is located 11 miles outside of Downtown Abu Dhabi and is soon to be the world’s most ecologically green city, with great ways to use energy while keeping waste at zero. The city will use solar and wind energy for power, recycle most of its used water, and try to decrease waste to zero by using it as soil and fertilizer.
Additionally, there will be plenty of shaded streets to protect from those blazing hot desert days. A huge wall is set to be built around the city to sustain the desert winds.
So much for a big SUV in this town, they are not allowed! There will be only electric vehicles allowed, including a mass transit and pod-like vehicles that travel underground. Some parts are already available for use, and the city should be completely ready by 2020.
