The shocking earthquake and tsunami that destroyed the northern part of Japan has caused governments all over the world to warn residents and officials against traveling to Japan, as well as airlines and private jets flying in this area to facilitate emergency measures. Many private jet charters have been flown to provide assistance at a much needed rapid rate.

The U.S. Department of State issued a travel alert dated March 13 stating, “strong aftershocks are likely for weeks following a massive earthquake such as this one.” The department strongly advises U.S. Residents and Personnel against tourism to Japan.

Our thoughts go out to the residents affected in Japan. They can use all the help they can get. Relief and charity organizations, such as the American Red Cross, are accepting online donations for disaster relief efforts.
