The first hurricane of the 2011 Atlantic season looks like it will be the first to hit the U.S. since Texas in 2008. Now a Category 2, Hurricane Irene has swept through the Caribbean Islands such as Turks and Caicos, Bahamas, and Puerto Rico with strong winds, rain, and dangerous surf.

The U.S. National Hurricane center said, “Irene is forecasted to become a larger than average hurricane.” It is forecasted to become a Category 3 storm, with winds over 111 mph by Wednesday and will become stronger as a Category 4 on its way to hit the eastern coast of the U.S.

It looks to be a busy season, which means evacuation plans should be in line. Trans World Jets specializes in disaster evacuations, private jet charters can be sent within 24-48 hours to get passengers to desired locations safely.
